	"Beans and Dreams"	We were supposed to revise our American Dream diagnostic essay.  For this composition, we needed to prove that one of the characters from The Bean Trees represents the American Dream.  We needed to use at least two quotes from the book as support and use page numbers with MLA parenthetical citation.  In class, we had mini-lessons on commas with introductory words, phrases, and clauses.
